Getting started on Tv888: placing your first wagers

Whether you’re new or returning, here’s a quick path to the action. On Tv888, pick a game, choose your stake, and place bets on the table. The dealer or game engine handles dealing and outcomes. Here’s how to get going:

  1. Choose a game: Baccarat, Blackjack, or Roulette are popular. Select the table or variant you want.
  2. Choose your stake: pick a chip size and click to add chips to the bet area. You can increase or reduce bets before dealing.
  3. Place bets: click the betting circles or fields to place wagers on the game’s options (Player/Banker/Tie in Baccarat; Player/Dealer for Blackjack; numbers and sections for Roulette).
  4. Play out the hand: after bets are placed, the round proceeds and outcomes are resolved; winnings are paid according to the game’s rules.

Baccarat: objective, card values, and round flow

The aim in Baccarat is to have a hand closer to 9 than the opponent. Card values are simple: 2–9 are face value, tens and the face cards are 0, and Aces are 1. If the total is 10 or more, drop the tens digit (e.g., 8 + 7 = 15 becomes 5).

Two hands are dealt: Player and Banker, each starting with two cards face up. If either hand totals 8 or 9 on the initial deal (a natural), no extra cards are drawn and the higher total wins. If there is no natural, a fixed draw rule decides whether the Player or Banker draws a third card. The hand closest to 9 wins. If both hands tie, it’s a push unless you bet on Tie, which pays out.

Payouts: Betting on the Player wins 1:1. Betting on the Banker wins 1:1 but with a 5% commission taken from winnings. Betting on Tie pays 9:1 if a tie occurs. Bets on Banker or Player are returned if a Tie happens.

Blackjack: rules, actions, and rewards

Blackjack pits you against the dealer. The goal is to reach 21 or get closer than the dealer without busting. Card values are: 2–10 face value; J, Q, K are 10; Aces are 1 or 11. A natural Blackjack is an Ace with a 10-value card, and it beats any other hand.

Game flow: You place your bet and receive two cards. The dealer also gets two cards, one face up and one face down. You can take actions based on your hand:

  • Hit: take another card.
  • Stand: keep your current total.
  • Split: if you have a pair, split into two hands (up to 3 splits, creating up to 4 hands). Aces split rules apply.
  • Double Down: double your wager for one final card.
  • Insurance: if the dealer shows an Ace, you may insure for half your bet against the dealer having Blackjack (pays 2:1 if it does).

Rules to know: the dealer generally hits on soft 17 (a hand containing an Ace counted as 11). If your hand beats the dealer without exceeding 21, you win. A Blackjack pays 3:2. If the dealer checks or hits a Blackjack after you’ve Split or Doubled Down, those outcomes can affect your wagers.

Roulette: bets, layout, and payouts

Roulette challenges you to predict where the ball will land on a spinning wheel with 37 numbers (0–36) in European/French style. The ball’s final resting slot decides the winner of your bets. Payouts depend on the bet type you choose.

How to play: choose a chip size, then click on betting fields on the table to place bets. Your total bet is shown in the Total Bet area. You can repeat or adjust bets before the wheel spins. If your bet is too small or too large for the table limits, you’ll see a prompt or tooltip.

Common bets include:

  • Inside bets: Straight Up (single number), Split (two numbers), Street (three numbers), Corner (four numbers), Line (two rows of numbers).
  • Outside bets: Dozen (first/second/third 12), Column (one of the columns), Red/Black, Even/Odd, 1–18 or 19–36.
  • Special Bets: Neighbour bets and other multipliers are available on some tables, depending on the variant you choose.

Payouts vary by bet type. As a guide, straight bets pay highest, with other bets offering progressively smaller returns. You can also repeat your last spin’s bets on the next round.
